Who are the Maori

As you know, New Zealand is home to the Maori people - they are the indigenous natives who may have migrated from some South-East Asian islands. Captain James Cook noted similarities between the Polynesian and the Maori, in that, they shared physical appearances, customs and cultures; perhaps even traditions. My grandchildren were born in Auckland and they are proud to be referred by the nickname "Kiwi" -- a national bird of New Zealand.

Tea grown in New Zealand
