Shillong - Sunday Picnic Spots
Remembering Shillong, a hillstation where I spent my teen-age years.
My siblings and friends would picnic up in Upper Shillong. Occasionally, on a Sunday, my parents would haul us (including our friends) into an army truck and drive to Cheerapunjee. The waters in the streams would keep our drinks cool.
We would gather dry firewood for cooking our delicious Nepalese food to include rice, dahl, chicken curry and saag (greens). I cherish these sweet memories.
