Invaluable information on New Zealand

You can stop looking for a guide that includes invaluable information on New Zealand. I went to the Indianapolis Public Library and found a few books on New Zealand. A travel guide that contains a wealth of information is, "Discover New Zealand," Lonely Planet series by Charles Rawlings-Way, et al. It directs you easily to every highlight. You can plan out itineraries, find references to local experts and it also includes a "pull-out map." You can discover incredible Auckland, Rotorua (in the North Island) and Wellington at the lower tip of the North island. The South Island is notable for Marlborough with its wineries; Christchurch - a vibrant city despite being hit by a natural disaster (an earthquake). My buddy from high school lives in Christchurch. Queenstown and the South is incredibly scenic. Many join tour groups travel by air, bus or train. You can even travel by boat. This guide even includes a Survival Guide directory, believe it or not. I am a senior so I grabbed this book. Take a look at this book before you plan to travel to Auckland. Make sure you travel with a note book as it may be difficult to remember the names of places that are in Maori.

New Zealand

Kia Ora! A Maori word to say "hello." New Zealand is a sovereign country in the southwestern part of the Pacific Ocean. It consists of two main islands which are the North Island and the South Island. It is also surrounded by several smaller islands. The Tasman Sea is situated between Australia and New Zealand. Wellington is the capital of New Zealand and it remains the second most populated city in New Zealand. This city sits at the south western tip of the North Island. Culturally, New Zealand, like its neighbor Australia boasts a very diverse and vibrant population. My grand children were born in Auckland; hence, I have picked up a few words. Furthermore, when I was growing up, I used to correspond with my pen pal who lived in Wellington. Air New Zealand routinely flies in and out of Wellington. Many more international flights from many countries fly into Wellington International Airport. New Zealand attracts tourists, many who travel in groups. It is famous for its national parks, notably the Tasmanian Devil Conservation Park. Activities like kayaking is definitely a big attraction. Tours are reasonably priced. Hotels are inexpensive and many include ocean view chalets.

I've lived my life; I have no regrets

In retrospect; I'm grateful to my parents for providing a wonderful childhood; I'm grateful to all my siblings for the comradeship over the years; I'm grateful to all whom I loved and still love; I'm grateful to my ex without whom, I would have never been introduced to this country that's given me so many chances - despite blowing many opportunities (down/up; up/down). Yet, I'm not pining for all I've lost; I have no regrets and upon this year ending; I honor all who have endorsed me; most of all I am GRATEFUL to God who is the all powerful supreme being;

The Bay of Islands -

You may know for a fact that the Bay of Islands while it maintains its historical significance, attracts tourists who love boat trips and accommodations are affordable especially around Paihia. Activities that the Bay of Islands offer are too numerous to list but you can pick up a pamphlet including a tour map at any nearby news stand. Many operators do offer backpacker specials. The beaches are fabulous.

Auckland

Auckland, New Zealand, the birth place of my grandchildren. This beautiful place is the "city of sails." It's on the North Island. It is vibrant and it's the largest urban area in New Zealand. Please do a google search and you will find answers to all your questions.
